Willem Ruys Lounge

Willem Ruys (Rotterdam, August 25, 1894 — Goirle, August 15, 1942) was a member of a prominent Dutch shipowner family and director of the Rotterdamsche Lloyd. He played an active role in the resistance during the Second World War and was executed as a hostage by the German occupiers. In his honor, both the passenger ship Willem Ruys and our Willem Ruys Lounge were named.

The space is entirely themed around the rooms of the Willem Ruys passenger ship. Willem's portrait hangs centrally in the lounge. In addition, there is a digital Samsung Flipover screen, suitable for brainstorming sessions and meetings.
